The Power of Imagination: The Neville Goddard Treasury is a collection of ten of the most powerful books by Neville Goddard, who was an extremely popular teacher of practical spirituality from the late 1930’s until his death in 1972.
Goddard was famous for his purely metaphysical view of Christian scripture, and he equated the God and Jesus Christ of the Bible with the human imagination. Building on that understanding, he developed ways of using the imagination to transform lives, and The Power of Imagination brings together all of his most important writings.

About the Author
Summary
Any one of Neville Goddard’s books would be enough to help the sincere New Thought student to transform their life, so having ten of his very best in a single volume is incredibly exciting. Published by Tarcher Penguin, The Power of Imagination runs to around 580 pages, and provides enough material to inspire years of study, yet the message conveyed is often one that can be grasped and applied on the first reading.
One of Goddard’s key messages is that anyone can, by learning to use his imagination in the right way, manifest whatever they desire. A big part of using the imagination correctly is to decide what you want and then feel as if the wish has already been fulfilled. Doing this deliberately as you fall asleep is one of his favourite and most encouraged approaches.
In his book Feeling is the Secret, he writes: ‘All you can possibly need or desire is already yours. You need no helper to give it to you; it is yours now. Call your desires into being by imagining and feeling your wish fulfilled.’
Goddard’s writings are full of practical techniques which the reader can apply, and they are also rich with accounts of how people have done just that to transform their lives in all manner of ways. This balance of solid instruction and inspiring success stories makes for great reading, and The Power of Imagination is a wonderful volume that is highly recommended.
